             (Must be 5 by December 31)

Recent research shows that education actually begins at birth and the majority of a child’s intellect, personality, and social skills are formed by age five.  Children participating in good quality preschool programs are shown to have stronger language, mathematic, and social abilities, form better relationships with teachers, and have more positive perceptions of themselves and the world around them.
