January FMPS News

The halls are happy again with the sound of children as we begin a new year. I hope your Christmas was a blessing and the time with family a source of joy.

Thanks to all who responded to the parent survey and gave helpful comments. The vast majority are happy with the current schedule of classes so they will remain the same for next year, as well as tuition. A Tuesday-Thursday class will be offered for 2 year-olds and other additional classes will be added as needed. Registration for present preschool families and church members will be February 12–23. A registration form will be sent home to you on Monday, February 12 and Tuesday, February 13. In order to insure a space for your child, forms and registration fees must be returned by February 23. Public registration will open Monday, February 26. If you have a friend or neighbor that would like a brochure, they are available in the preschool office and in the lobby of the Family Life Center.

In the event that winter arrives and we have ice or snow, listen for the delay or cancellation of Davidson County Schools. If they delay school for either 1 or 2 hours we will begin at 9:30.

In observance of the Dr. Martin Luther King holiday, we will not have school on Monday, January 15.

If you need a quick and scrumptous dessert, there are small (20oz.) frozen cheesecakes available at a reduced price. See me for flavor selections.

A spring preschool clothing sale is being planned in partnership with the Disciples Sunday School Class that held the fall sale. More details will be coming but as you clean closets, begin a box to bring to the sale. Toys and baby equipment will also be sold.

Your children make us happy! Thanks for sharing them!
